A Proper 20ft-Wide Lodge

One of the biggest attractions of the Willerby New Holland is its size.

At 20ft x 40ft, you get the width that makes a lodge feel completely different from a conventional static caravan.

That extra width can be felt throughout the New Holland.

There's room to move around the dining table, plenty of seating in the lounge, a substantial kitchen and spacious bedrooms and bathrooms.

If you're comparing lodges for sale and wondering whether stepping up to a 20ft-wide model is worth it, we'd recommend physically walking around one. Dimensions on a floorplan don't always communicate just how much difference that extra width can make.

One of Our Favourite Kitchen Layouts

The kitchen is one of the strongest parts of the New Holland.

Rather than simply running kitchen units along a wall, Willerby has created a horseshoe-shaped kitchen with worktops wrapping around the cooking area.

This gives you plenty of preparation space while also creating a natural separation between the kitchen and the rest of the open-plan living area.

On the other side of the worktop is a breakfast bar, giving you an additional place to sit.

We really like this arrangement because it makes the kitchen feel sociable.

Someone can be preparing dinner while other family members sit at the breakfast bar, rather than the person cooking feeling separated from everyone else.

And, as with the rest of the lodge, there's plenty of storage.

A Dining Area You Can Actually Move Around

This might sound like a small detail, but it's something we always notice when reviewing holiday homes.

Can you comfortably get around the dining table when everyone is sitting down?

In the Willerby New Holland, you can.

There's a good amount of space surrounding the table and the freestanding dining furniture gives the area more flexibility.

Next to the table, there's also a built-in dresser.

We think this is a lovely feature because it gives the dining area its own identity rather than making the table feel as though it's simply been placed between the kitchen and lounge.

It's practical too, providing even more useful storage for crockery, glasses or anything else you'd rather keep close to the dining area.

Plenty of Seating in the Living Room

Continue through into the living area and there's another thing the New Holland does particularly well: space for everyone to sit down.

There's plenty of seating, making this a lodge that could work particularly well for families or owners who regularly have friends and relatives staying.

You've also got a fireplace creating a focal point within the room, alongside a dedicated TV table.

Then there are the front opening doors.

Open them onto your decking and the living room can flow directly into your outside space, which could be fantastic during the warmer months.

If you're choosing a New Holland on a holiday park, we'd pay particular attention to the position of the lodge and what's outside those doors. With the right pitch and decking, they could become one of your favourite features.

Fantastic Storage Throughout

Storage is something we talk about a lot in our reviews because it can have a huge impact on how enjoyable a holiday home is to use.
